Education & Information

We are a wholesale/retail manufacturer of natural spa, bath and body products, created by hand.  We use the finest ingredients from specialty oils to essential oils. Natural products are becoming the mainstream in beauty care and we are committed to offering products free of artificial flavors and colors. We utilize oils that are high in Omega 3, Vitamin A, C, D, E & F, Oleic Acid, Palmitoleic Acid and Linoleic Acid to revitalize and restore the skins normal balance. Recent feedback from our clients have indicated they would like to see products scented with fragrance oils so we are answering the call by sourcing oils that are phthalate free.   

The skin is the body’s largest organ so it’s no surprise consumers want to incorporate personal care products with natural ingredients into their lives. According to The Natural Marketing Institute, the natural personal care market grew 15% in 2005, while the overall U.S. cosmetics and toiletries market grew by just 3.5%. Its research has found that more than half of all consumers want personal care products made with natural or premium ingredients, and 44% are looking for organic ingredients.

In 2008, Cactus & Ivy removed all animal by products from our ingredients list, which means, we no longer use honey or beeswax. Candelilla Wax has replaced the use of beeswax in all our balms, and beside being “Cruelty Free”, Candelilla Wax protects against moisture. In with being green comes organic and vegan. As our raw material supplies decrease, we will purchase organic where available. We want our products to be available to everyone. In 2007, we began offering a natural fly repellent for horses. It seems the trend is true that consumers are also health conscious when it comes to their pets.

No Animal Testing
Cactus & Ivy has never tested its products on animals, nor will we ever.  We test our products on willing family members and friends.  Hey, what are family and friends for?  In addition, we only purchase raw materials from companies that adhere to the same standard. Cactus & Ivy signed the standard with the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics and the statement of assurance with PETA’s Caring Consumer program.

FDA Voluntary Cosmetic Registration Program
"The Voluntary Cosmetic Registration Program (VCRP) is an FDA post-market reporting system for use by manufacturers, packers, and distributors of cosmetic products that are in commercial distribution in the United States. The VCRP helps FDA in its mission to protect consumers, while also helping cosmetic manufacturers and distributors make informed decisions. The greater the participation by the cosmetic industry, the better this program works." 

Payments Accepted
We accept Business Checks, Money Orders, MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover for payment.  Wholesale orders are required to be paid in full before manufacturing begins.  We do not offer terms at this time and there is a $500 minimum order requirement on first time wholesale orders.  Customer Service is the backbone of any company and we stand tall.

Filling/Shipping 
Retail orders are filled and shipped within 72 hours of receipt of order.  Wholesale orders, depending on order size, ship from 7-21 days.  We will estimate shipping times based on order size at the time of placing your wholesale order.  Orders are shipped via FedEx or US Postal Service.  If your order is damaged in shipment, please notify us immediately so we can file a claim on your behalf.

Recycle Boxes
In an effort to strive for sustainability, we also reuse shipping boxes, paper, packing peanuts and bubble wrap if they are in good condition.

Returns
Retail customers - Returns will only be allowed on unopened Cactus & Ivy products purchased directly from Cactus & Ivy.  You must receive a return number from Cactus & Ivy and notification of such returns must be within 7 days of the receipt of goods.  Returns will be credited towards future purchases. 

Wholesale customers - There is a 25% restocking fee applied for all unopened, brand products.  Custom blends and Private Label products cannot be returned due to their uniqueness.  The fees and costs associated with label design, placement and printing are non-refundable.
